Word on the Street: New Construction Around Jacksonville Beach

Jacksonville Beach is the heart of the beach communities here on the First Coast, and right now its beating pretty fast with an uptick in new residential developments.

Demand for homes across Jacksonville Beach is on the rise, and both local and national home builders are taking notice. From BluWater Apartments helping to curb the demand for rentals in the area to Paradise Key, the home of HGTV’s 2013 Smart Home, tying coastal features to each home custom home builders break ground on, the short supply of new developments is quickly being met with a flurry of new options for buyers and renters to choose from.

Here are some of the latest new construction homes catching our eye around Jacksonville Beach:

Surf Villas

You’ve seen the vacant lot next to Casa Marina for years, but soon it will be filled with luxury townhomes One of the newest new construction developments announced for the Beaches is Surf Villas, a villa-style townhome development one block from the ocean in north Jacksonville Beach. Adjacent to Casa Marina, the boardwalk and popular restaurants like Pier and Lynch’s Irish Pub, the villas will be breaking ground on March 1 and the first units should be completed by the end of the summer.

Ocean Terrace

Come in to the beaches from Butler Boulevard and you’ll likely spot the new homes popping up just to the north of the major east-west connector.
